The school is meant to train students, young scientists and engineers on the instrumental science and technology for GW astronomy. The school will feature an intense series of lectures and hands-on sessions covering a number of topics including interferometry, highly stabilized lasers, control systems, etc. Invited lecturers include Peter Saulson (Syracuse University), Rana Adhikari (California Institute of Technology) and Oliver Puncken (University of Texas at Brownsville).

The school is open to students (in physics and engineering), postdocs, scientists and engineers who are interested in the experimental science and technology for gravitational-wave detection. Selected participants will be provided travel support and accommodation. Online application form can be found on the school web page.
